How to display related posts in your Blogger blog?

Showing related posts is a must have feature in your blog today as readers are always interested in seeing more without having to manually search for content. I also wanted my readers to be able to find related content easily and hence started the search for a service or a widget that could automatically display related posts in a neat presentable format.

Having tried various options without any great success and/or satisfaction I finally discovered a nice article at Blogging Junction, which made my day and saved the hassle (to an extent I must say). This article actually suggests two different options to add the "Related Posts" widget to your blog —
  1. In the sidebar as a widget or
  2. Install it just below the blog post allowing the Related Posts to automatically appear after each of the articles that you post.
However none of these options worked as the script uses excellent BRPS (Blogger Related Posts Service) developed by Yu-Jie Lin, which doesn't work unless you install the service key which you can generate for free by visiting BPRS's key generation page.

Once you have generated the key code, you just need to —
  1. Choose the automatic widget installation or the manual installation options.
  2. Follow a few simple steps as listed out by BRPS; it requires only 3 lines of codes in fact.
  3. And voila, you are done.
The BRPS service is offered under GPLv3 for Blogger only and might not work with other blogging services. To know more and for updates on further progress on this, you may visit BRPS home page.
Thanks to Blogging Junction and mostly importantly to Yu-Jie Lin.
